10 Videos of Swimming Dogs Who Love to Get Wet

golden dog with swimming gogglesI love to watch swimming dogs much more than I enjoy swimming. Check out these awesome videos!

I don’t want to disappoint you, but I should be honest with you: I don’t love to swim. There’s a pool at my house, but I won’t go near it. The one time I did, my dad tried to get me into the water. He’s such a trickster. Even though I’m scared to try out my doggy paddle, I’ve heard that many dogs really enjoy swimming. In fact, I’ve witnessed some of my furry friends leap into the water at the beach.

Swimming dogs are always fun to watch. They’re having fun and getting exercise, and honestly, what’s not to love about swimming dogs? They’re awesome!

Here are my ten favorite videos of swimming dogs. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

If you’re nervous about swimming, this is a great video to watch. Even though I still don’t plan on jumping in the water this season, It’s awesome to see a big dog learn how to swim for the first time. Congratulations, Ollie! Oh, and check out all those other swimming dogs. They look like they’re having a great time, and I’ll bet that puts Ollie at ease.

This Chihuahua definitely seems a little frightened of swimming, but I’m so impressed with his skills! Check out the doggy paddle on this little pup! He can get from one side of the pool to the other so quickly. Here’s a tip for any human who has a dog that likes to swim – make sure any swimming is supervised!

One place I’ve always wanted to travel to was Hawaii. It’s so beautiful there, and it seems these swimming dogs agree with me. They aren’t afraid of the water at all! There’s one dog in the beginning who catches swims to retrieve a log that’s even bigger than her. Crazy, huh?

The one thing I can totally get on board with these dogs is how they love to roll in the sand. That’s my favorite beach activity!

This video is awesome! In fact, this dog is even cooler! It’s an underwater view of a dog diving for his or her toy. I can barely swim, never mind hold my breath to fetch items from the bottom of the pool. I am just so impressed with this four-legger!

This dog seems to be tricked into swimming! Seriously, I’m not sure he’s swim recreationally if he wasn’t on a mission to retrieve his favorite ball. What I’m most impressed with are his ladder skills. Wow! He can climb and descend those stairs with no problem. I’ll bet you he even knows how to walk like a human.

Ever wonder what it was like to be one of these swimming dogs? This is a great video to experience swimming from a canine’s perspective.

I can’t tell if this dog thinks he’s a human or if he’s just really not into swimming. Either way he’s my hero for simply getting into the water and walking in it.

Now, even though I don’t like pools, I might be tempted to go down a waterslide. It seems like so lunch fun. Check out these two dogs who climb all the way up this mountainous ladder and slide all the way down.

I don’t know what I would do if I were invited to a puppy pool party. I love to party, so I certainly wouldn’t turn down the invitation, but I’d be nervous someone would push me into the water. I guess you’ve just got to live a little and trust your friends. I’d for sure follow this husky’s lead and run circles around the pool though while all the rest of the dogs swim. That seems like fun to me.

Okay, I have to save the best for last. While I don’t love swimming, I do love dolphins. I’m so very jealous of this pup who gets to swim with the dolphins!

Do you love these videos of swimming dogs as much as I do? If you have a favorite I didn’t list, share it in the comments!
