I love super heroes. In fact, I often like to pretend that I am a super hero! Recently I found an awesome office dog who works at Melt Media, and I was so impressed with the company’s tagline: Interactive Superheroes. These cool humans make websites and apps to fit all device screens. Better yet, there are many office dogs who work alongside the humans. I’m so grateful that Newman could take some time out of his busy schedule to talk to me about his office dog position. Thanks, Melt Media for allowing him to interview with me!
Napa: What breed are you?
Newman: Mini Aussie
Napa: Tell me more about working part-time at Melt Media.
Newman: I help my mom with a few projects here and there. Mostly, my projects include running around the office in circles chasing my sister, Molly. We get so tired during the work day.
Napa: What is a typical day like in the Melt Media office?
Newman: Lots of dogs and people! We have big grassy areas outside and two huge offices to run around in. Sometimes I am too hyper, but I just can’t seem to sit still when so many other dogs are around.
Napa: Whose desk do you sit under most often?
Newman: I usually switch off. Mom sits in a big open area of desks. There is a big dog next to us and another Aussie puppy I like to play with in between desks.
Napa: When you get bored around the office (in between important in the office tasks), how do you keep busy?
Newman: I like to run around with my chewy toy. Usually other dogs steal it, but mom keeps a lot of extra ones around.
Napa: What’s the best thing you’ve ever eaten around the office (even if you weren’t supposed to)?
Newman: Just my toys and treats. Mom watches me pretty closely. My first time at the office I tried to eat a plastic cup. Now I know those things aren’t for me.
Napa: What’s your favorite funny dog video? Please share the link!
Newman: This is my favorite because my sister Molly also does the potty dance!
Napa: Where are you from? What’s your favorite trait about the area you live in?
Newman: I am from Arizona. I live in a condo now, but we have a private dog park and lots of walking paths. It’s nice and cool even in the hot months. We walk to stores and see a lot of people.
Napa: If you could tell your human co-workers anything, what would it be?
Newman: I would love to come to work everyday, but it’s exhausting.
Napa: Can you share any advice for other office dogs?
Newman: Don’t get in too much trouble. Work is a fun place. Be nice to the other dogs and get to know everyone.
Napa: I love that your company describes itself as “interactive heroes.” If you could be any superhero, who would you chose?
Newman: I would be Wonder Dog – he is a knowledgable professional!

You’re so awesome! I don’t believe I have read through anything like this before. So nice to find another person with a few genuine thoughts on this topic. Seriously.. many thanks for starting this up. This website is one thing that’s needed on the web, someone with a bit of originality.
