We at BuzzFarmers love celebrating, and when we found out a greeting card company was moving in across the hall, we couldn’t have been more excited. Get this – things got even better when I found out that there was an office dog working at Bow Ties Greeting Cards & Gifts. How cool is that?
Napa: What breed are you?
Bailey: Silky Terrier – I think it’s manlier than it sounds!
Napa: Tell me more about working at Bow Ties Greeting Cards & Gifts.
Bailey: Well, I’m pretty much the “Head Supervisor” of everything that goes on around here. I like to watch my dad work (or pretend he’s working) and just oversee to make sure he’s doing things right. He usually is.
Napa: What is a typical day like in the Bow Ties Greeting Cards & Gifts office?
Bailey: Most days I spend a good amount of time sitting on top of the couch and looking out the window into the giant hallway. I especially like it when I see the kids that go to the place next door because lots of times they come to the window and say hi. Sometimes other people come in which I really like because I get patted, and I get treats!
We share an office with Diana Pozzi Photography and her dog Dash, who is my good buddy. I like it when he comes into work because we share our food and wrestle around the office on our breaks.
Napa: Whose desk do you sit under most often?
Bailey: I actually sit under Diana’s desk most often because she has a soft mat there for Dash, and he lets me lie on it. It’s comfy.
Napa: When you get bored around the office (in between important in the office tasks), how do you keep busy?
Bailey: Well if everything seems to be running smoothly, and if I don’t see anything exciting going on in the hallway, I like to sniff around the doorway and try to figure out when any of the other doggies in the building are passing by. We have a few toys here in the office, but I try not to play with them because, after all, it is a job, and I should set a good example.
Napa: What’s the best thing you’ve ever eaten around the office (even if you weren’t supposed to)?
Bailey: Syrian bread – I love it! Any kind of bread, really. Dad sometimes goes out for a few minutes and comes back with food for him and a little warm bread for me, if I’m a good boy.
Napa: What’s your favorite funny dog video? Please share the link!
Bailey:
Napa: Where are you from? What’s your favorite trait about the area you live in?
Bailey: Well, I have a house in Seekonk, Mass. and an apartment in East Providence, RI. They’re not far from each other, which I like because my grandparents stay at the house and hanging out with them is definitely my favorite thing in the world.
Napa: If you could tell your human co-workers anything, what would it be?
Bailey: Take fewer coffee breaks! Well, unless you take me with you. In that case – take more!
Napa: Can you share any advice for other office dogs?
Bailey: It’s okay to let the other people (humans) think that they’re the boss – everyone knows that we’re really in charge.
Napa: I’ve heard you’re a model for some of the greeting cards. How do you balance your office work with modeling? It seems like two very difficult jobs!
Bailey: You’re right it is a little difficult because they are very different jobs. But I actually have some experience in entertainment and show business. I sang background vocals and played percussion on a music album, and was sometimes a guest co-host on a talk show.

Because of that experience, I think the modeling thing wasn’t that big of a stretch. Supervising is challenging, though, because I’m not very organized. Plus, a lot of times I get distracted by kisses.
