We love wine so much at the BuzzFarmers office that we usually celebrate #WineWednesdays every week. Well, I should clarify – the humans are the ones drinking the wine, and I’m usually napping. That doesn’t mean I don’t fully support them. Because my parents are such winos, I was super excited to find out that Argento Wine had an office dog named Arnie. Not only that, but he was willing to interview with my for this office dog series. It was so much fun talking to him. Thanks for allowing him to interview with me.
Napa: What breed are you?
Arnie: I’m a cross between an English Cocker Spaniel mom and a Miniature Poodle dad. They call me a “Cockapoo”.
Napa: Tell me more about working at Argento Wine.
Arnie: I don’t drink wine, but everyone else in the Argento office seems to be having a great time!
Napa: What is a typical day like in the Argento Wine office?
Arnie: I get pretty tired during my morning walk into the office, so I tend to snooze a lot during the day. Everyone else is looking at screens and typing on their keyboards in between trips to the coffee machine. After a bit of lunch I usually go out to run around with other local dogs in a nearby park.
Napa: Whose desk do you sit under most often?
Arnie: Mostly I sit under my dad Kyle’s desk, but sometimes I like to wander around and see what Bina and Gustavo are up to.
Napa: When you get bored around the office (in between important in the office tasks), how do you keep busy?
Arnie: I keep a couple of toys and a ball at the office so people can throw them around the room for me to fetch. I also have a bone which I can gnaw on for hours. Sometimes if no one notices, I like to sneak around looking for things to eat or destroy – cardboard is my favorite.
Napa: What’s the best thing you’ve ever eaten around the office (even if you weren’t supposed to)?
Arnie: I felt an exciting tingle when I bit into dad’s laptop charger once. He didn’t seem too happy about it.

Napa: Where are you from? What’s your favorite trait about the area you live in?
Arnie: I was born on a farm in the beautiful countryside of Lincolnshire, England, and now I live in North London. I love it here because we live close to lots of great parks and open spaces where I can run around, like Hampstead Heath.
Napa: If you could tell your human co-workers anything, what would it be?
Arnie: “Relax,” and “Can I eat that?”
Napa: Can you share any advice for other office dogs?
Arnie: Make sure you have a nice comfy bed to sit on, and don’t chew on the electrical wires!
Napa: My coworkers in the BuzzFarmers office love wine. They even celebrate #WineWednesdays. If you could make a puppy drink, what would it taste like?
Arnie: My ideal puppy cocktail would probably be a sophisticated blend of chicken skin, bone marrow, tree bark and grass with a subtle aroma of fox urine – my absolute favorite! Alternatively, for a more human-friendly drink, my preference is for the “Arnold Palmer” (my namesake), a classic mix of iced tea and lemonade enjoyed by golfers everywhere.
