Introducing Lenny, the Incredible Wistia Office Dog!

Screen Shot 2014-10-06 at 2.45.17 PMWe love Wistia in the BuzzFarmers office. So, when their office dog Lenny’s dad agreed to let him do an interview with me,  I was beyond ecstatic. I was so nervous that I stumbled over all of my words while interviewing this bigwig. Lenny is in charge of recruiting humans for Wistia’s workforce, but he also models for some pictures and acts in company videos. Where he finds the time is beyond me!

Napa: What breed are you?

Lenny: I am a Labradoodle. My mom was a 75-pound Chesapeake labrador, and my dad was a 10-pound chocolate poodle. I’m a boy dog!

Napa: Tell me more about Wistia.

Lenny: Wistia is online software that lets you share and track your videos online. I’m their unofficial mascot, and it happened on accident as I became the office dog.

Napa: What is a typical day like in the Wistia office?

Lenny: A typical day is spent lounging on the couch, trying to fit next to someone already on a chair, and getting pulled into multiple video shoots. I love perusing under the table during lunchtime to catch any crumbs.

Napa: I noticed on the website that you’re in charge of recruiting. What’s your best tips for dogs who are looking to get hired as an office dog?

Lenny: It’s helpful to be hypoallergenic. And be really good on camera … the more exposure you get, the better your job security is!

Napa: Whose desk do you sit under most often?

Lenny: I usually hang with my dad, Chris, unless my Auntie Elise has taken care of me over the weekend. Then I hang with her.

Napa: When you get bored around the office (in between important tasks), how do you keep busy?

Lenny: I enjoy chasing the tennis ball, barking at the UPS man and SodaStream, and waiting by the door for my dad to come back from lunch. I also sleep. Like, a lot.

Napa: What’s the best thing you’ve ever eaten around the office (even if you weren’t supposed to)?

Lenny: I eat baby carrots like it’s my job. Is eating baby carrots my job?

Napa: What’s your favorite funny dog video? Please share the link!

Lenny: I’m pretty self-centered and don’t love other dogs, so my pick would have to be this classic Wistia video. I’m also impressed with my performance here.

Napa: Where are you from? What’s your favorite trait about the area you live in?

Lenny: I recently moved to Cambridge but grew up in Rhode Island. I love jumping off the dock into the water, going for boat rides, and riding in the Jeep. I’ve also been known to roll in a dead squirrel carcass or two!

Napa: If you could tell your human co-workers anything, what would it be?

Lenny: Treats. Give me treats, damn you!

It was so nice to get to know Lenny. Thanks, Wistia, for allowing him to interview with me!
