Have you ever heard of DogVacay? If not, stop what you’re doing and check it out! I’m very lucky to tag along on most of my parents’ trips. Some dogs either don’t like to travel or cannot join their family on vacation. Instead of boarding them, consider getting a petsitter through DogVacay! I think they are such a cool company, and I’m so excited that they let me interview one of their office dogs. Gunner is a great canine co-worker, and I feel so fortune to introduce you to him!
Napa: What breed are you?
Gunner: I’m a Shepsky! A.k.a. a German Shepherd and Husky Mix.
Napa: Tell me more about DogVacay.
Gunner: DogVacay is an online community that has tens of thousands of hosts vetted and insured as dog sitters across the country (and Canada!), ready to care for your pup like a member of their family. It’s a safe, convenient, and affordable way to make sure your four-legged friend is in good care.
Napa: What’s a typical day like in the DogVacay office?
Gunner: A typical day is spent sleeping, eating anything I can find, playing with all the other office dogs, and updating my Instagram.
Napa: Whose desk do you sit under most often?
Gunner: I’m usually always hanging out with my mom Lauren because she doesn’t trust me to be off leash yet!
Napa: When you get bored around the office (in between important tasks), how do you keep busy?
Gunner: I love chewing on my co-workers’ shoe laces, chewing on chairs, chewing on arms … you get the point!
Napa: What’s the best thing you’ve ever eaten around the office (even if you weren’t supposed to)?
Gunner: I once got into the trash can! Mom has no idea what I got into, and I’ll never tell!
Napa: What’s your favorite funny dog video?
Gunner: My old DV coworker Iggy and the balloon!
Napa: Where are you from? What’s your favorite trait about the area you live in?
Gunner: I’m from Valencia, Calif. My favorite trait is that I live right next door to Lazy Dog Cafe, so I can eat and hang out with my four-legged friends. They even have a menu just for dogs!
Napa: If you could tell your human co-workers anything, what would it be?
Gunner: I know I like to bite your faces, but I really do love you! Also, GIVE ME TREATS!
Napa: Can you share any advice for other office dogs?
Gunner: I’m sorry if your humans have been neglecting you ever since I came into the office. It will get better.
Napa: Do you personally get to test out any of the DogVacay sitters? If so, what were your favorite experiences?
Gunner: Many of my human co-workers are DogVacay sitters and they watch me when mom is in important work meetings. They love spoiling me and taking photos of me.
