This is the first time I’ve interviewed an office dog from Sweden! I am so excited. Lucy works at Ipiit/The Food Ambassadors where she keeps the humans on task. She’s close to the beach, just like I am. I wonder what kind of dog treats they have in Sweden.
Napa: What breed are you?
Lucy: I am a Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen shortened PBGV and easier to say.
Napa: Tell me more about working at Ipiit/The Food Ambassador.
Lucy: It is such a fun, happy place to work. We are a small startup team, that puts in a lot of hard work and hours but knowing we are helping people live with food allergies or food preferences really makes every day a great, worthwhile day. I generally make sure everybody is working hard and enjoying themselves. If anyone needs a stress reliever I am there to make them smile.
Napa: What is a typical day like in the ipiit/The Food Ambassador office?
Lucy: It’s great! I get walked to work and then left to wander around all the offices and the kitchen to see what tasty treats or cuddles are on offer for me. Then I have my office sofa to sleep on or I find a nice sun spot somewhere.
Napa: Whose desk do you sit under most often?
Lucy: My sofa is the best!! Not many dogs get to go to work and have a whole sofa just for them. So I stretch out and enjoy it.
Napa: When you get bored around the office (in between important in the office tasks), how do you keep busy?
Lucy: I usually go up to the kitchen to see what is on offer, if nothing I will rest up there for a while as it’s up some stairs and I have little legs. Before coming back down and asking somebody to take me out for a walk or to play with me with my ball.
Napa: What’s the best thing you’ve ever eaten around the office (even if you weren’t supposed to)?
Lucy: I always get some of my owner’s lunch and that’s always the best part of the day!

Lucy: Magic with dogs – I’m still wondering where the treats went.
Napa: Where are you from? What’s your favorite trait about the area you live in?
Lucy: I live in Malmö and I love that I get to go to the beach for a swim or I get to run around and hunt on the hills of the dog park.
Napa: If you could tell your human co-workers anything, what would it be?
Lucy: You’re doing a great job and should be proud!
Napa: Can you share any advice for other office dogs?
Lucy: Always look super cute & friendly – it gets you everything!
Napa: Have you considered creating a dog version of the app? If so, what would it include?
Lucy: I would love to – many dogs (and other animals) have food allergies/intolerances and it would be great for our owners to know if we can eat certain products or if they will make us poorly just from scanning the barcodes.
